The first World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity issued by the Union of Concerned Scientists was written in 1992 and signed by 1,700 leading scientists. In 2017, AWS published “World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity: A Second Notice.” It was signed by more than 11,000 scientists in recognition of the climatological emergency and the need for urgent action by geopolitical leaders. In 2019, a World Scientists’ Warning of a Climate Emergency was published. In February of 2021, the United Nations Environment Programme published the ‘Making Peace with Nature Report’. Later in 2021, the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, Climate Change 2021: The Physical Science Basis was published.”

Scientists’ Warning advocates for science-led, evidence-based solutions and evidence-based, biophylic, and minimally invasive interventions that can be defended, communicated effectively to all, and implemented to positive effect for life on the planet.

Scientists’ Warning takes a crucial evidence-based approach to reporting and educating on all issues related to the climate crisis; and stands against the war on science.
